Web Traffic Tools That Work to Get Traffic to Your Site

New web traffic tools seem to be popping up almost daily. Today marks the start of a new series of posts on this blog focusing on the traffic tools I like best.

This first post is about the all new Prosperity Rising web traffic and advertising site.

“All new” is not entirely true, for starters. A major chunk of Prosperity Rising comes from a script recently put on the market by the owners of the Traffic Python traffic generating site.

And at first glance, you might find it hard to spot the differences between Prosperity Rising and three other Python clones that have just made their début: Perfect Traffic Storm, Traffic Buddha and Advertise Free For Life.

The owners of these 4 traffic sites basically all bought the same script, changed a few graphics and videos, and are presenting their sites to the world as their own.

I’m not badmouthing these sites, mind you. They’re all good. They all work!

These traffic generating sites offer an ingenious way to spread your links, banners and branding across the planet. They can bring traffic to your site from unexpected places, and find you customers you’d never reach in a decade of advertising. It’s a  good traffic generation system…

How to Use the New Web Traffic Tools

Before I tell you why I prefer Prosperity Rising over the other traffic generators – and there are two very good reasons below – here’s how these web traffic tools work for free to generate traffic to your site.

After you set up your profile in the members area and add your PayPal info (do this because you get paid if you refer people to the site – and you can get automatic referrals, just by you using the tools), you need to go and set up some ads. The procedure is the same in all four traffic generating websites.

How to Set Up Ads

Simply click on “Ads.” (Duh!) You’ll see where to type in a short text ad. Make it look good with the wysiwyg editor. Or upload a 468 x 60 banner or graphic instead. Check it with the Preview feature.

Your ad will get displayed in a popup footer on other people’s sites.  The footer ad appears a few seconds after the site and counts downs from 15 seconds before closing automatically. Click on any of the hyperlinks above to see an example.

The popup footer is divided into two parts. An ad from a member of the traffic generating site is on the left, while the right side has your referrer code embedded in it.

Anyone who is curious about this footer may become one of your direct referrals when they click on the right of the footer to go and check out the traffic site.

If they click on the ad on the left, before the countdown ends, they’re taken to the ad target site in a new window.

If you’re thinking, “Hey, I wouldn’t want someone else’s ad popping up when I send people to a site,” consider this.

This method presents your ads to all kinds of people who are not in your regular audience, every day. That means, you’ll get a supply of fresh people coming to your site – so long as your ad is good, and you have something they want.

Okay, so you set up your best ads. Then what? Time to build some links.

How to Set Up Links

The “Link” tab actually works as a link cloaker for you. If you don’t want to run the risk of someone replacing an affiliate code of yours with their own, you can create a Prosperity Rising link and use it as a cloaker. And besides, affiliate links are usually pretty ugly in the first place anyway… Best to hide them away from the light of day.

So you take a link like http://thinkhigh.fatsecret.hop.clickbank.net and turn it into http://www.prosperityrising.com/links/1133.

(N.B.  Your link also retains its cloaking after it is clicked.  That’s a big advantage over a link shortened with bit.ly or tiny.url that reverts to its original state after being clicked.)

Okay. So if nobody is going to see your link, you’re done.

However, if you’re going to put the link where it’s visible – on Twitter, for instance – you might want to take one more step to make the URL more appealing. That also prevents confusion too, so people don’t think you’re sending them to Prosperity Rising when they’re actually going to Dr. Suzanne.

You might want to go to ViralURL and transform your link into something like this:  http://vur.me/s/TheFatDoctor

Note that by adding that last transformation, you get a thin bar of viral text advertising at the top of your page, with much the same function as the pop-up footer.

A word of caution: Remember to always check your links. Make sure you copy things properly and that your links open properly. Always check.

Now are you wondering why you should bother with a Prosperity Rising link if you might end up in any case at ViralURL to rename your link?

It’s because using a PR link earns you credits. You need the credits in order for your ads to be displayed in pop-up footers on other people’s pages.

Let’s say you send out a mailing to 3,000 people over at ListJoe. Whenever someone opens your mail and goes to the page you’re advertising, the popup footer appears. If they click on the footer ad, you earn credits.

You get new PR members, and possibly commissions. Plus you’re tracking your visitors and cloaking your links.

You can use Prosperity Rising and the other web traffic tools for free and earn ad display credits. But when you upgrade, things happen at an astronomical level. You get far more credits when new members sign up, and your ads appear more frequently.

Over time, you’ll develop a downline of members who join PR through your link. Many of them will in turn refer others. You only earn commissions on direct referrals who upgrade, but you get click rewards down 5 levels, i.e. credits that make your ads show more frequently.

Upgraded Diamond members can also email their downline every 5 days. And Elite members get to email 1,000 people at a time. If they have fewer than 1,000 people in their downline, the system randomly chooses enough members to make the difference.

So there you have it, the basic traffic getting method offered by Prosperity Rising, The Perfect Storm, Traffic Buddha and Advertise Free for Life.
